In a celebrity world that focuses on an individual's personal physique as a measurement of beauty, stars are often scrutinized for adding a few pounds or so.
However, many around the world face the real struggle of dealing with obesity, as we see in the TLC series My 600-lb Life, which follows four individuals over the course of seven years as they try to turn their lives around from being severely obese.
In the second part of 600-lb Life's four-part series premiere that airs tonight (Feb. 8), we see the rough journey of a 660-pound man named Donald who wants to change his life by bringing himself down to a healthy weight.
In the featured clip of tonight's episode, we see Donald struggling to adjust to his new lifestyle after he undergoes gastric bypass surgery.
On his road to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Donald suffers some severe setbacks and is forced to put his journey on hold when Guillain–BarrĂ© syndrome renders his body under a slight state of paralysis.
My 600-lb Life airs on TLC at 10 p.m.
